All of our beanbags and small and medium-sized items are shipped to you either via Fed Ex Home Delivery or UPS. In some cases, we may have to use US Postal Service (for example, Puerto Rico or for PO Boxes).
Typically, small products are shipped to you within 48 hours of receiving your order.
Our large futon frames, however, are packaged for delivery in boxes that are too large for small delivery trucks like the ones used by Fed Ex and UPS. They are delivered to you by shipping companies (that is, common carrier trucking companies) who normally use an 18-wheeler truck which may have come all the way across the country to bring your futon frame to you. This poses problems for people who live in cul-de-sacs and on narrow roads that do not have places for the semi truck to turn around.
Please consider the following when you order a large futon frame:
The large truck must be able to navigate the streets to your house. If a large truck cannot get to your house and back to main streets again, please let us know as you place your order. Please use the delivery instructions box to indicate that you need to make special arrangements for delivery.
You or your representative must be present to receive the delivery of your futon frame.
You must have someone available to help unload the truck. The packages will be too large for the driver to handle by himself.
The trucking companies are only required to deliver to the curbside. The driver is required only to bring the package to the dock of the truck; that is, to the truck's open end. You may have to remove the boxes from the truck and carry the boxes into your house. These are requirements of large trucking companies, not Futonsandbeanbags' requirements. The driver may be very helpful in getting the packages into your home, but is not required to do so.
You should inspect your packages, at least the boxes, for damage before the driver leaves. If you notice any damage to the boxes or to their contents, you must report it to the driver immediately so it can be noted on the delivery paperwork. Please also alert the Futonsandbeanbags Customer Service at the phone number just below if you see damage to your boxes.
