What is a Standard Pillow?
Our pillows are the standand 20" x 20" square pillows; that is, the size that you would normally find comfortable on a couch but not so big that they overwhelm the couch's seating capacity.

Matching Pillows
You can purchase pillows in the same fabric as the futon cover that you're buying. As you are placing the order for your futon cover, simply select "Add Matching Pillows" in the pull-down menu at the bottom of the fabric page.

Coordinate Pillows

Why not live dangerously and use pillows for color accents by selecting coordinate fabrics! Coordinate fabrics compliment key colors in the futon cover fabric or use striking complimentary colors that bring life to the colors in the primary fabric. We have included all of the Coordinate Fabric suggestions for the fabrics made by SIS Covers, where they are available. Click here for more information on Coordinate Fabrics.

Choosing Pillows in any other Fabric

You can actually order pillows in any fabric that we carry, whether or not you order a futon cover in that same fabric. There is an option in the drop down purchasing menu at the bottom of the fabric's description page that lets you select "Just the Pillows!"

Pillow Styles

FutonsandBeanBags has three different types of pillows – standard futon pillows and our special Health and Fitness line of pillows. See below for other types and how to order them.

For the pillows from Life Style Covers that are available on our website, you have the choice of Pillow Styles in addition to choosing the fabric.

The pillow styles that we offer are:

1. Stuffed Pillows (pre-stuffed pillows that are permanently shown)
2. Pillows with Zippered Shams and Inserts (pillows meant to be removed for cleaning the pillow case)
3. Health and Fitness Pillows (pillows that enhance sleeping comfort)

Stuffed Pillows

Pillows sewn shut on all four seams and stuffed with a comfortable, soft polyester fill material are called "stuffed pillows." There are no zippers to hide when you arrange the pillows on the futon, and there are no zippers to bug you when your arm is draped over a pillow for comfort.

On the other hand, you can't remove the pillow cover to clean it.

Pillows with Zippered Shams and Inserts

Shams are pillow covers that are removable. Futonsandbeanbags.com shams all have zippers to get them on and off for easy cleaning.

Inserts are the polyester-filled pillows that go inside shams. They are the actual pillow inside the cover. Inserts themselves are sewn shut all around and are the same pillow that is inside Stuffed Pillows. They are soft and comfortable, yet provide plenty of support.

The big advantage of shams is that they are removable for cleaning.

All of our pillows from Life Style Covers are shams with inserts so that you can remove the covers for cleaning.
