The Thicker the Better?

Generally speaking, the thicker the futon mattress the more comfortable the sleeping surface. We have a tendency to buy the thickest mattress we can afford, which is not altogether a bad idea.
There are some limiting factors. As you know, you can buy a super thick mattress for a bed and then not be able to find sheets easily that will fit around the 10” or more depth. Not surprisingly, you also have to be concerned about the depth of your futon mattress when selecting the correct futon cover size. Please be aware that your futon cover will need to match your mattress thickness. Fortunately, a custom size futon cover adds only a few dollars to the cost.
