Why Don't We Refund Return Shipping Costs and Restocking Fees?

If you return a product that you bought from Futonsandbeanbags.com because you don't like it or it doesn't work for you, you will be responsible for the return shipping costs.

If the product is damaged or defective in any way, the manufacturer will normally replace damaged parts, or if unable to do that, will issue a "call tag" for the shipper to return the product to the manufacturer at no cost to you.

"Free Shipping" by ANY on-line merchant is actually paid by for by the seller. UPS, FedEx, USPS do not ship for free. This means we, the seller, paid for the original shipping costs of shipping your cover, futon frame, or beanbag to you.

When you return a product, these original shipping costs are a loss to us. For us to also pay the return shipping costs and restocking fee charged by the manufacturer would amount to a very large loss on every return. Most on-line merchants would soon be out of business.

Merchants who do pay the return shipping cost have a large enough profit margins built into each sale that they can take a loss on every return and still make a profit overall. Thus, you pay much more for their merchandise (every piece that you buy) to cover these costs.

Like many other online merchants, our gross margin is small and leaves no room for subsidizing returns. That way, you pay a much lower price for the products that you buy from us. Most of our customers prefer it that way!

When you return a product that is not defective or damaged in any way, we will refund your purchase price minus the actual shipping charges incurred and any restocking fee.
