Many consumers have the idea that if they can find a "wholesale" price they will have found a bargain. The truth is that "wholesale" refers to the price charged by a manufacturer, or other supplier, to buyers who are going to resell the merchandise to the public.

What are true wholesale prices?
To be able to pay a true wholesale price, the retail seller must demonstrate to the manufacturer that it is, in fact, reselling the merchandise. To do this, the retail seller must submit to the manufacturer or supplier a copy of its state-issued reseller's license and its city- or county-issued business license.
